Established in 1848, Chancellor University (formerly Myers University) was one of the first business colleges in the United States, as well as Cleveland’s first post-secondary educational institution. The university’s mission is to serve first-generation college students, with scholarship assistance for inner-city Cleveland students, and to provide working adults with the chance to earn a regionally-accredited degree.

Sean McKinniss is a Program Manager at NOCHE. He manages and markets key regional talent development programs in collaboration with area economic development organizations.

Before joining NOCHE, Mr. McKinniss was an academic counselor at The Ohio State University. There, he gained substantial experience in working with a wide realm of higher education and community stakeholders. He advised and taught hundreds of undecided students about course and major selection, career options, and university policies and procedures. In addition, he was involved actively in university governance and policy-making.

Mr. McKinniss received a Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Political Science and Russian Area Studies from Wittenberg University. He received his Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University.
