News - The Future of Entrepreneurial Internships
NOCHE, Lake Erie College, and Shaker LaunchHouse will host “The Future of the Entrepreneurial Internship Experience,” at Kent State University on April 10, 2013.
Entrepreneurs, college faculty members in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship program directors, and entrepreneurial interns are encouraged to participate in this discussion on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Kent State University’s Twinsburg Academic Center. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.
This action-oriented discussion will bring together stakeholders from the entrepreneurial intern space to examine field research and participate in interactive sessions to refine and enhance entrepreneurial internships.
NOCHE Associate Director Shawn Brown, Lake Erie College Entrepreneur-in-Residence Jeff Eakin, and Shaker LaunchHouse Partner Bob Means will offer brief opening remarks leading into a discussion on topics such as
- identifying the appropriate types of students and companies for entrepreneurial internships,
- determining the learning outcomes of entrepreneurial internships, and
- achieving the right balance between classroom learning and experiential learning.
The discussion will chart a path for the future of entrepreneurial internships in Northeast Ohio. Space is limited due to the highly interactive nature of the seminar, so reserve a space now.
