The Northeast Ohio Talent Dividend Summit was a resounding success. More than one hundred civic, business, and education leaders in Northeast Ohio attended to hear how Northeast Ohio moved the needle on college completion.
Dr. Mark Sniderman from the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland highlighted the economic importance to have more degree holders.
NOCHE Executive Director Ann Womer Benjamin highlighted progress through the metrics developed by the Steering Committee. She shared that Northeast Ohio is now home to an additional 41,000 college degree holders, and our economy improved, too.
The total personal income in Northeast Ohio increased by over $4 billion.
Dr. Gordon Gee from The Ohio State University shared his stories on college completion, along with his vision for success as the leader of the largest institution in the state of Ohio.
The event also provided the opportunity for attendees to walk away with a copy of the 2011 Northeast Ohio Talent Dividend annual report, a copy of which can be viewed by clicking this link.
Ideastream was on hand to record the event and photos for the event are below.
Keep up the great work, Northeast Ohio! We are truly making progress by degrees.
